The emblematic Benidorm Palace function room has become, once again, the best setting for the official start of Benidorm Fest, the competition being held throughout this week in Benidorm and from which Spain's representative in the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen. A huge orange carpet adorned the main entrance of Benidorm Palace this Sunday along which paraded, just like the great stars of the musical and artistic scene, the 16 participants selected in this third edition as well as other artists who participated in this week’s Benidorm Fest opening party. Among them, the winner of Benidorm Fest 2023, Blanca Paloma from Elche and other participants from past editions including Vicco, Varry Brava, Twin Melody and Megara. Also, Sandra Valero, the girl who represented Spain in the last edition of Junior Eurovision and who finished in second position.
Once inside, hundreds of 'Eurofans' were able to enjoy a brilliant show and numerous performances Benidorm Palace-style, with set design, lighting and an artistic environment that make us unique. This event, organised as a warm-up for this third edition of Benidorm Fest, was also a must for the Minister of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Nuria Montes; the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with numerous members of the Municipal Corporation as well as the gala’s compères, Ruth Lorenzo, Marc Calderó and Ana Prada and directors of Radio Televisión Española, led by RTVE’s Director of Communication and Participation María Eizaguirre, who acted as compère alongside the 'DJ' and broadcaster Tony Aguilar.
By organising this opening party, Benidorm Palace has shown once again its support and total collaboration with Benidorm Fest, an event that is increasingly acquiring greater prestige and impact and with which we hope to continue to go hand in hand for many more editions in the future.
